Children, who will be five years of age on or before April 30 of the year they commence Foundation, may be enrolled. Birth Certificates, Immunisation and Baptism Certificates (if applicable) are to be presented upon enrolment. We welcome children of other faith traditions to attend St Joseph’s on the understanding that they support the Catholic ethos of the school.
Enrolments for Foundation open in Term 2. All Bendigo Catholic Schools usually finalise enrolments on the same day (for 2025 this will be Friday May 23). Enrolments for other year levels are open throughout the year. St Joseph’s holds an Open Week in Term 2 each year for prospective parents and students. This is a great opportunity for families to tour the school and see our facilities.
Foundation Transition Program
Our transition process includes the following steps:
Transition Visits – Beginning Term 4, children have the opportunity to visit St Joseph’s and meet some of the teachers and other students with whom they will be working with once they begin school.
Parent Information Session – A parent information session is conducted during Term 2 each year and provides further information regarding school procedures.
Orientation Day – The final piece of the transition process is the orientation morning on Tuesday December 9, 2025 when children will spend time in their classroom with their teacher.
